LapLift (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the LapLift platform at laplift.app and the LapLift Sync mobile app (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Account information

When you sign in we collect your email address, either directly via email/password authentication or through Google Sign-In. This is required to identify your account and secure access to your data.

Session files and lap data

The LapLift Sync app downloads motorsport session files (AiM .xrz format) from your data logger over Wi-Fi and uploads them to our servers. Uploaded files are associated with your account and used to:

How We Use Your Data

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your email address is never shared. Lap times may be visible to other users if you choose to make sessions public — you control the visibility of each lap individually.

We use Google Sign-In (Google LLC) for OAuth authentication. When you use Google Sign-In, Google’s own privacy policy applies to that interaction.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-provided secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).

Data Retention

Your session data and account information are retained for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at akrochik@gmail.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

Children’s Privacy

LapLift is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
